Landscape & Outdoor Living Built for Cincinnati’s Hillsides
The west side is hillside country. Around here, retaining walls and drainage aren’t luxury landscaping. They’re how a yard stays usable. Priority Landscape & Outdoor Living designs and builds complete outdoor spaces for the west side’s slopes, from our own shop right here in Sayler Park.

Built for Hillside Country
Most design-build companies serve the west side from across town. We’re based in it. That matters twice: our crews know how these slopes drain, settle and erode, and our shop on Gracely Drive is minutes from your project, not a highway drive away.
Because of that, we plan every wall, patio and drainage project around the ground it sits on.
- DesignPlanned around your slope, your drainage and how you want to live outside.
- BuildEngineered and installed by our own crew, minutes from your project.
- EnhanceSeasonal care that keeps it looking finished, year after year.

What Your Neighbors Say
Neighborhood Favorite, Nextdoor 2024 & 2025 Best Landscaping Crew, Cincinnati Magazine 2024 & 2025
Our customers tell the story better than we can. One family’s backyard was “completely transformed” with leveling and new sod. Another finally gets to “utilize more of our yard” after a French drain install. A third asked us to help “plan the perfect outdoor living space.” Neighbors review us, then rehire us. Several are on their third project with us.

COMMERCIAL GROUNDS
Property Managers Trust Us With Their Grounds
We are not only a residential company. Priority maintains grounds for HOAs, commercial and industrial accounts across the west side, including the Delhi Township town center, national franchise locations, churches and real estate offices.
Every account gets a standing monthly meeting and a documented site check, so we find the problems before a tenant calls them in.

WHERE WE WORK
Serving Cincinnati’s West Side
Our shop and yard sit on Gracely Drive in Sayler Park, so most of our work is a short drive rather than a highway trip. That is why we can get back out to a job the same week instead of the next month.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions West Side Homeowners Ask
How much does a retaining wall cost in Cincinnati?
Most of our wall and patio projects start around $3,000. Three things move the number more than anything else: how easily we can get equipment to the work area, how large the area is, and which material you choose. A wall on a tight lot with no clear path for a skid steer costs more to build than the same wall with open access. That is why every quote comes after we walk the property. Pricing a wall off a photo does not do either of us any good.
Do I need a permit for a retaining wall?
It depends on height, location and what the wall is holding back. As a general rule, walls under four feet that are not retaining a load above them do not usually require a permit. Once a wall goes taller than that, or it is supporting a slope or structure above it, permitting and engineered drawings come into play, and the design work becomes a real part of the job. Requirements vary by township, so we confirm with your jurisdiction before we start and we handle that conversation for you.
What can I do about standing water in my yard?
Standing water is almost always a grading or drainage problem rather than a soil problem, and on the west side it is usually water coming off a slope with nowhere to go. The common fixes are a French drain to carry water away below grade, regrading to move it off the yard, and redirecting downspouts so roof water is not dumping next to the foundation. We look at where the water starts, not just where it collects, because fixing the symptom leaves you doing it again next spring.
How long does a paver patio take to install?
An average paver patio installs in about two days. Retaining walls usually run two to three days. Larger areas, tight access or a stretch of wet weather can extend that. You get a schedule with your quote so you know what the yard looks like on each day of the build.
Do you only do big projects, or weekly maintenance too?
Both, and most of our customers use us for both. We build retaining walls, patios, drainage and full outdoor living spaces, and we also handle weekly mowing and property care, seasonal cleanups, holiday lighting and snow. One call covers the whole property, which is the reason a lot of neighbors moved everything over to us after their first project.
What parts of Cincinnati do you serve?
Our shop and yard are on Gracely Drive in Sayler Park, so we work the west side: Delhi Township, Green Township, Western Hills, Bridgetown, Cleves, Price Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods. That is where we know the terrain best. If you are nearby and have a project in mind, ask anyway.
