WHAT WE PLANT AND MAINTAIN

What a Landscaping Company in Cincinnati Actually Does Here

Four kinds of work make up most of our week. Beds and plantings, the mulch and rock that finish them, weekly care that keeps a property looking handled, and full renovations when a yard needs starting over.

Planting & Beds

Beds shaped to the house and planted with things that survive a west side summer. We pull what is tired, set what belongs there and edge it so the line holds. Customers tell us they wanted easy to maintain, so that is what we plant.

Mulch & Rock

Double and triple shredded mulch, decorative stone, limestone and topsoil, all from our own yard on Gracely Drive. Same day the truck is loaded it is on your beds, and nothing waits on a supplier schedule.

Lawn Care

Weekly mowing on set routes, plus sod, seeding, aeration and overseeding when a lawn needs more than cutting. We cut hillside lots that other crews turn down, which on the west side is most of them.

Landscape Renovation

When a yard is past patching, we take it back to dirt and rebuild. Grading, beds, plantings and sod, front and back. New builds and thirty-year-old landscapes get the same treatment.

WHY PRIORITY

Built for Hillside Country

Most design-build companies serve the west side from across town. We’re based in it. That matters twice: our crews know how these slopes drain, settle and erode, and our shop on Gracely Drive is minutes from your project, not a highway drive away.

Because of that, we plan every wall, patio and drainage project around the ground it sits on.

  1. DesignPlanned around your slope, your drainage and how you want to live outside.
  2. BuildEngineered and installed by our own crew, minutes from your project.
  3. EnhanceSeasonal care that keeps it looking finished, year after year.

We had an amazing experience with Priority Lawn and Landscaping! From start to finish, their team was professional, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. They completely transformed our backyard—leveling the yard, installing sod, and updating the landscaping—and the results exceeded our expectations.

The attention to detail really stood out. Our yard had some uneven areas that always made it difficult to enjoy, and now it’s smooth, beautiful, and functional. Everything feels clean, fresh, and well thought out.

The crew was hardworking, respectful of our property, and kept everything tidy throughout the process. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it shows in the final result. Highly recommend Priority Lawn and Landscaping to anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor space!

Priority Lawn & Landscape worked wonders on my 2 acre ranch-style home. My yard had been overgrown for several months, Johnny and his crew came out and had the job done in a few short hours. He and his crew did a beautiful job with the landscape and the grass cutting. Priority Lawn & Landscape gave me a precise estimate, the crew was polite and professional, and they left my yard meticulous. Highly recommend them.

ONE COMPANY

The Crew That Mows Your Lawn Can Build Your Patio

Most people find us for one thing. Weekly mowing, a bed that needs redone, a load of mulch. Then a few seasons later there is a wall leaning or a corner of the yard nobody uses, and it turns out the company already on the property can build that too.

That is why our reviews are full of customers on their third project. Same crew, same phone number, and nobody has to explain the property from scratch.

WHERE WE WORK

Serving Cincinnati’s West Side

Our shop and yard sit on Gracely Drive in Sayler Park, so most of our work is a short drive rather than a highway trip. That is why we can get back out to a job the same week instead of the next month.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Landscaping Questions We Get Asked

What is the difference between landscaping and hardscaping?

Landscaping is the living half of a yard. Beds, plantings, sod, mulch and the care that keeps them going. Hardscaping is the built half: walls, patios, walkways and drainage. Most projects use both, and on a slope the built part usually goes first, because there is not much point planting a bed on ground that is still moving.

How often do beds need new mulch?

Once a year for most yards, usually in spring. Mulch breaks down into the soil, which is the point, but as it thins it stops holding moisture and weeds find the gaps. A yard that gets a lot of afternoon sun or sits on a slope where rain washes material downhill sometimes wants a light refresh in late summer.

When is the best time to plant?

Spring and fall, and fall is the underrated one. Roots keep growing in cool soil after the top of the plant has stopped, so something planted in September is better established by next summer than the same plant put in during May. Midsummer planting works but needs watering discipline that most people do not have time for.

Can you mow a hillside lot?

Yes, and it is a common reason people call us. Steep west side lots get turned down by crews that only run large equipment, which is why one customer told us finding anyone to cut her grass was impossible where she lived. We size the equipment to the slope rather than the other way around.

Do I have to sign a contract for weekly lawn care?

No. Weekly service runs on a route and continues through the season, and you can stop it. What people are usually asking underneath this question is whether they will get stuck chasing someone who quit showing up. That is the more common problem around here, and it is why several of our customers came to us in the first place.

What does a full landscape renovation involve?

Removing what is there, correcting the grade, rebuilding the beds and replanting, often with new sod. It is the right call when a yard has been patched enough times that another patch will not hold, or when a new build came with a builder landscape that was never designed for the lot. We walk the property and give you a written quote and a schedule before anything comes out.
